Fandom Radio - October 28

Howdy, listeners. This is Jane Lane here with your weekly dose of Thursday happenings and goings on. Even if it means you have to relive the trauma of going to class.

SCHOOL

Speaking of which, in Ethics they talked about giving in to wrath. I don't like wrath. Better to channel it into art and preserve the fact that I wanted to stick your head on a pole. Film Class watched us some Space Battles, Tracking talked about tracking each other in a marketplace and then got to do it, and Shipwrecks talked about the SS Central America and got some free candy out of the deal, so I think that class wins today.

And just to show you that your slacking off in class will continue into your adulthood, Loki was throwing pencils into his ceiling, Kukaku told Holmes she couldn't hear her explosions over his violin-playing, and Professor Farnsworth was muttering while he worked. That last one's the one that worries me. Anyone who mutters while watching should probably be watched... maybe someday on Sick Sad World.

Glee Club was all about homecoming, Halloween and mingling and Alexander wasn't impressed with the candy. I now deny ever having met him.

DORMS

And now on to the dorms, where the squirrels watch your every move. Calvin was a tiger wrestling his stuffed tiger, Cally found Dolf looking up Dutch stuff in the computer lab, and Bruce was dealing with a sore throat in the common room. Rilla got to hear him sounding funny, which I'm sure was the highlight of her day.

TOWN

Bond turned into a husky while running, which means Bobby McCallister was probably lucky he just got joined by Jack and told to slow down by Faith. Emma made a call at the Perk and found out Karla's in trouble, I guess, so Emma, Raven, Tara, Warren, Gabrielle, Ben, Tahiri, Ender, Jack Priest, Dinah, Jono, Bobby, and Sookie all decided to help her. I'm thinking the length of that list means no one's left to hear this broadcast. I could really probably say anything I wanted right now.

....

Meh.

Cally who is a student- oh hey, people are left!- was reading up on jack o'lantern-carving at Strokes of Genius, which just gives me ideas, Lindsay added Halloween decorations to a baseball display at Nast Sporting Goods, Rikku had a predictable good day at Fixer Uppers and I'm not really sure what that means, and Ellie was looking up costumes at the Arms. Just go for something completely uncreative that shows off all the skin you can without being arrested. I'm sure everyone else will. Shunsui was offering free candy with sake and free sake with candy at Turtle and Canary, so people missed out, Faith was working on that clock at Things Reborn, and Millie was reshelving at Book Haven by floating the books into place. Gotta break up the monotony of work somehow. Helen got into a conversation at the Gig with James about whether he can call her "the Helen" and I'll say right now I'm not calling her that.

Scully was treating some scrapes and snake bites at the clinic... Who's getting bitten by snakes here? And finally, Wallace took to the back office to drink and get zombie smell out of his clothes. I don't want to know how he got zombie smell into his clothes.

And on that note, I'm out of here, don't gorge yourselves too bad on candy. Unless it's funny.
