Fandom Radio: Tuesday July 13

Good evening, Fandom! This is Rose Hathaway coming to you on her proper day on WTFH in the evening.

...yeah, that just sounds lame. I don't know how the guys on TV make it sound kinda cool. So apparently today's the 194th day of the year. Which means there's only like 201 days until Christmas! Or, um, 188 if you're not Orthodox. Whatever. Let's get to the news.

School

...wait there's Study Hall in summer? What the hell? I'm kinda relieved to see that no one went though cause come on, it's summer. Gym 102 had people team up to do archery. Francine was the TA with muffins, and Bruce Wayne apologised to Mr. Gardner for missing class last week.

We have a class called Leadership for Social Change. And they talked about recruiting minions. Right. Dinah Lance and 21 and 24 were there as minions. Which Dr. Horrible approved of. I have no words for any of that paragraph. Other than to say that minions sound creepy.

The Doctor informed his Practical Crisis Problem Solving class that some of them were aliens today. I think the only alien is the dude that named that class, god. So they had to figure out a plan to tell who was an alien with the Doctor and discuss it amongst themselves. As TAs, Cara, Hiccup, and Toothless were there to help, but it all came to nothing as the Doctor announced that no one was an alien! Let everyone applaud...or something. Another freaking insanely named class The Mathematics of Quantum Neutrino Fields had to deal with a test and then pick up shit. Or argue about if they should or not. I feel so damn sorry for Lindsay who ended up the TA.

Okay, just two more classes and we'll be on to the good stuff! Applied Dadaism played poker but I guess the cards were a little weird which made it more difficult. And Advanced Sneakiness had a garden party where everyone had to avoid getting stuck in a conversation with Anakin, Elena or Anemone. Which actually makes sense unlike the rest of the freaking insane classes today, God. Leia took advantage of Anakin's presence to tell him about how she was dreaming about her mother.

Rinoa had her first shift at the library today where she learned how to be a total geek and use the Dewey Decimal System.

Dorms

Okay, yay, finally to the good gossip. And right, I'm on Tuesday this week which means there were Reserves who got to spar with each other today. No mention if the milk and cookies were for everyone or just the winners. But first there was mingling where Blysse and Katniss bonded over both using a bow. And Zack and Kennedy were doing their leaderly duty.

There do be spoilers in the Fifth Floor Common Room because Raven was scouring the internets for Rumor Gal news. For which Hannibal teased her about as he really should have before hearing about her magical healing powers and the weather. Tara wasn't so interested in the spoilers - we know you're a closet fan, Hanny - but wanted to talk about how it was weird to meet Raven's dad who wears a loincloth.

Yep, I'm just going on to the next set without thinking about that anymore.

*papers rustling* Um, so a lot of the rest of the notes are about people having weird dreams or falling asleep or whatever... Which, okay, if you were around last summer, you might remember that was a really bad thing. So if you're dreaming about a weird other island where there are fucking vampires all over the place, let's start talking about it now, okay? So we can figure out what to do before we all get sucked over there and end up in comas in the Town Hall? Awesome.

So, yeah, dreams. Karla woke up unsettled from one, but got a visitor in the form of Triela who thought she was hot all rumpled. Yep, takes all types. Chuck Bass spent the day napping in his room, and wow, Shelley wore him out. That's totally impressive. Claudia was half-asleep when Jake stopped by. Looks like she'd been thinking about her brother. Which you ruined. Good job, Jacob. Okay, kidding...mostly. Quinn got snarky with Claudia over her being quiet. Which is a stupid thing to bitch about, sorry, newbie. And Tahiri ended up getting ready to go out after she woke up this morning. I have no idea how the hell that is news. It would have been news if she'd gotten up and went out of her room naked.

Town

The weird sleeping stuff continued in the town - Marcus, Henry, and Jaina all woke up after some bad dreams and decided to get outside and moving around. There was a weirdly big breakfast ...gathering-thing at Dimitri and Shelley's apart - Oh my God, you nosey rats, there was no flirting between Chuck and Dimitri. Even if one of them has, like, chemistry with a doorknob. Annnnd no one else needs to know the details cause I'm on radio, and I'm using my power, dammit.

Let's see, Piper used her weird nap to spur her to bake cookies which drew Cally's excitement and probable devouring. Rikku showed up at Reno's apartment this evening worried about something being wrong. Well, if you mean, everyone on the island having weird sleeping problems again? You're probably right.

Right, so Marcus, Didi, Jaina, Raven, Tahiri, and Karla all walk into the woods... *sound of papers flipping* Wait, that's it? No, seriously, squirrels, this sounds like a set up for a joke. Where's the rest of it?

Okay, um. Yeah. I guess that's it. Hope you kids had fun on your...nature hike. Firekeeper and Katnip were in the Preserve too, but they were shooting bows and stuff so at least that makes sense.

The regular rundown of businesses where no one bothered to visit is next. I'm sad none of you took Dr. Hawkeye's advice to actually support your local businesses. It'd suck if we had to go to that Pentagon mall every time we wanted to go shopping! Ariel was passing her time making a seashell bra - kaay - at Pixie Dust. Ino played loud music at Covent Garden. Loki and Sookie found themselves totally distracted and daydreamy at MHA and Luke's respectively. Paige looked like she was really damn tired at Strokes of Genius - wow, that makes me feel great that the squirrels are commenting on how we look now. You furry rats better always say I look hot, dammit.

We had Tim in an arm sling and a bad mood at Android's Dungeon and I'm guessing the one caused the other. Lion-O was playing dress up at Cafe Fina and so was Mary who spent her entire shift at the Arms Hotel wearing a towel. Ah, daring?

Jono got two new employees at Groovy Tunes in the form of Dandelion and Delirium, and I bet saying that five times fast would suck. Good luck, you guys. Don't sell shitty music. Hinata had Warren bring her lunch at Book Haven and ask for book recommendations, awwww. Do we smell romance in the air? She's a way better choice than that chick you were dating a month ago.

Hawkeye's playing poker with a gremlin at the Clinic. Jury's still out on if that's freaking crazy or just really brave. Also it's out on just why Tino was so suspicious of Robin being nice to him all evening in Caritas.

And that's all we got for tonight, Fandom. Be careful out there, and I'm hoping those dreams go the freak away soon cause I don't really want to end up over in that other island again, kthx.

Sleep well.
