Fandom Radio :: March 08.
Good evening, Fellow Fandomites! It's Sunday, so it's Radio Time with Turtle Wexler. I'm thinking I should actually be resting right now....a lot...instead of being at the radio station, reporting on the news, so hopefully we'll be good and quick about this. Here we go!
SCHOOL
Lee opened the library to the sounds of Jimmy Buffet. It's a library, Lee! It's supposed to be quiet!
DORMS
Adora headed over to Edward's for a night, where he informs her of his abandoned search for Giselle. Which probably works out if he's going on dates with people.
Chad was relaxing in his room with some music until Dinah came in and he was all googly eyed over her being in pain. Well, as googly eyed as Chad can get, I imagine.
Jaina finished up some work and made a few calls home and stuff.
The Face-Spitter worked out in the gym, because he couldn't go to Fight Club because spitting in faces is the only move he has. Anyway, John was there, too, and they were all manly about talking to each other even though the squirrel says its totes obvious that they didn't really want to.
TOWN
Miss York finished up some business at the York Gallery, and Sam was dedicated to the cause of not touching things at Stark Industries. Mister Mars worked on a sign at the lighthouse, and Blysse was in a good mood at the Gig, especially after Francine stopped by with cookies! Also in a good mood? Reno at the Freelance Police. Warren, of course, wasn't probably in a good mood at Cafe Fina but his mood reportedly got better thanks to the dishes and getting a dinner daaaaa~ate with Momoko.
Mister Biff wasted valuable time spinning in his chair at the Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, where Detective Constable Day came by to tell him all about how he's an old man. And Mister Reilly had sunglasses at Things Reborn and got a visit from Detective Constable Day, who needs to stop doing things when I'm reporting because her title is really, really long, you guys. At least her last name isn't, like, Schwietzenstienerphferrer.
Blysse, Blind Seer, and Dinah all headed into the preserve to hunt furry fish and teal deer. And, over at the clinic, Hoshi brought coffee and plenty of complaints about Daylight Savings Time for Ronan. Who hits pretty hard, for the record.
Constable Fraser fell asleep working in his bed, and Robin-not-a-frog talked to their dogs about how darn cute he is. When he wakes up, though, he's a little confused as to where they are.
The first meeting of fight club happened today, but I'm not sure how much of that I'm allowed to talk about. Which is ironic, considering by body is practically screaming out in pain. Anyway, there was a lot of stretching and mingling, because they are both important. Tahiri and Ichigo talk a little bit about the Jedi when Tahiri wasn't eying Jen. Leto and Bad Alice were all chatty about reasons for being there and Leto's roommate, while Priestly told Leto about not believing in senseless violence. It isn't senseless. Even for those of us who are in it for the practice, it's probably great stress relief, right? Anyway, Sokka just thought Priestly got lost on the way to the bathroom. LULZ. Tahiri was helpful in explaining to Blysse and Blind Seer why Stretching is So Important, and Leto introduced himself to Blysse, who told him about her wolfish heart. My mother says I have the heart of a shrew, which my dad says I must have gotten from her. Parents are weird.
Anyway, Sokka wanted to fight the wolf...of course...and Anemone kept looking Blind Seer and Blysse's way. Jack tried to show off his mus-kles, and Temari seemed ready for a challenge, as was Reno. Dinah and Sokka made plans for boomerang practice, and Doctor Quinzel offered to help with Dinah's battle wounds, which freaked her out a little since she knows her. Or a version of her. One of those things. Like Solos being around when there's punches, as Jaina told Tahiri. Savannah checked things out while she stretched and I talked to Dinah a little bit about how I am so not a fighter, but that's why I was there, to become one, and Sokka was crazy at me some more. Mister Minsc and Captain Algren talk about the use of the club to help save their furniture, and Adora was just sort of amazed at all the people there, Mister Skywalker stuck around after his lightsaber practice, and Anemone did some people-watching.
Those last three were all A-names, which is cool. Sokka waited for things to get going while Miss Walker wasn't very chatty. Detective Constable Day tried to go incognito, but ditched the attempt, and Bad Alice was there, too, and so was Andross, Adam, Arya and Ronan, the latter with first aid supplies.
And then, there was fighting. Me and Ronan, Tyler and Dinah, Sokka and Captain Algren, Mister Dex and Leto, and Jaina and Blysse. Some people picked their own fights, too, like Worf and Ichigo, Jamie and Anakin, Reno and Ichigo, Miss Walker and Reno, Annja and Rikku, Bad Alice and Tahiri...kind of... Sokka and that wolf, and Mister Minsc and Mister Deadpool.
That last one could give me nightmares.
Anyway, Tyler and Miss Atreides were around afterwards for chatting, where Mister Stark teased Tyler about fighting a teenage girl and Reno praised their brilliance. Dinah was also in the 'yay fighty club!' mindset.
Nothing exciting was happening behind the bar at Caritas, which Mister Bindo did not mind one bit.
And there we go! I'm going to go rest now. Rest is good.
Good night, and have a prosperous tomorrow!
