Fandom Radio :: Sunday, January 25th.
Good evening, fellow Fandomites! It's Sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY, your new day for all your Turtle Radio needs! Switching it up a bit, keeping you on your toes! I'd like to thank all of you who voted for me; a vote for Turtle is never a vote wasted, and I'm honored to be in the broadcaster's chair for yet another semester! So let's get this show on the road so that I don't have you all wondering why you voted for some girl who just keeps yakking on about herself.
Onto the news!
SCHOOL
I think I'm going to like Sundays, because all I've got to report on in regards to the school is Lee opening the library. Toby stopped in and they caught up because they hadn't seen each other in, OH-EM-GEE, forever, which I think is, like, a week or something. And sorting out some phone calls. Like I said, a week, because that's when all that happened.
DORMS
Romeo woke up early to get things prepared for an anniversary breakfast in bed with Dojima, awwww!
Buffy made a phone call while relaxing, and so is Ino, after sleeping all day. Face-Spitter Stephanides checked in on her to see if she was really being lazy. Amber was also being lazy down in her room; Liir and his puppy visited and they talked about him sleeping over.
Tahiri was also chilling out in her room; she notes that Hurley's in a good mood, which leads to talk about Penelope...ooooh. Ben is informed that Tahiri's actually some sort of dragon, which I guess is really funny if you're from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
And Momoko was still squeeing about CopCon.
Arthur worked on one-armed sword fighting in the salle, and, man, that kind of sounds dirty. Worf was very impressed with Arthur's one-handed sword-weilding abil-- Okay, I'm just stopping right there, and just mentioned that they talked about Klingon culture.
Dinah's hitting up the gym for a work-out and is joined by the face-spitter, and they talk about his birthday and being a Mafia accountant.
HA! Beat you to that one, Face-Spitter!
TOWN
Mary was taking a relaxing day in the lobby of the Arms Hotel.
Warren dealt with tablesetting relationship drama over at Cafe Fina.
Over at the Freelance Police, Reno was throwing darts at the fishtank, which just does not sound like a good idea.
At the Gig, Blysse was relatively uninterested in the go-abouts around town, while at Stark Industries, Sam was relatively uninterested in the fact that the place was kind of a mess.
G'Kar was holding down the fort at Turtle & Canary; not literally because it's a store, not a fort. A store with exceptionally good prices on anything you'd need. Either way, I stopped in to talk to him about one of the CopCon visitors that knew him, who met with him earlier and it was Not Good. With capitals, yo.
Angela was hanging out at the Perk, where she and Ichigo discussed how he's a rarity for being up well before noon and talk about his giiiiirlfriend Ino. Chuck comes in looking rough and talks with Angela about where he got the battlewounds. I have the sneaking suspicion I don't actually want to know.
Mister Reilly was busy and not having any special sales at Things Reborn;
Miss York was busy at the York Gallery, although it itself was not very busy at all. Sheriff Cooper just came in because he lives there too and they chatted about how the convention went.
And over at Ching Tai, Miss Walker and Mister Loki had a daaaaaaa~ate. They talked mostly about the convention, though, how predictable.
And, after hours in the meditation room at the Wellspring Arms, Mayor Cable and Mister Deadpool are having a spar. Um, meditation room? Sparring doesn't sound very meditative!
Things during the Arms' regular hours were a bit more normal; Mister Biff was offering visiting cops discounts, which is not a bad idea at all. Mister Loki stopped in and made a date with Mister Biff to--
UGH, I AM NOT READING THAT. Anyway, Detective Constable Day stopped in, too, and got made fun of by Mister Biff because she looked about ready to explode from excitement about the convention. And then Mister Biff talked with Mayor Cable about the cold and stackable monks.
Over at her house, Miss Boxer had a visit in her attic with Miss Barnhart, and, in her apartment, Miss Potts tasered Mister Stark, who would have deserved it for breaking and entering. Just saying!
At the clinic, Mrs. Harker was busy writing a report. On the weekend? Ew! Anyway, Robin also brought in a report or a history of sorts for her to read. For fun?
...Okay, considering I fill out tax forms for fun, I guess I can't really say a word, can I?
Anyway, over at Caritas, Mister Bindo banned Mister Tino from writing on napkins and talking too much.
Wait, he talks?
COPCON!
The morning was filled with very interesting panels. Good old Fandom Alums Bridge and Z talked about Tiny Card Jails, which is either a collectable card game or some really freaking cool future technology. Either way Davis, Jen, and Dinah got to try it out. Sheriff Cooper and Sergeant Angua fielded questions, and so did Dinah, who compared it to a polygraph, G'Kar's creepy friend, and Momoko, who wanted to know if it worked on monkeys...
...okay, Momoko gets a prize for one of the coolest questions ever. Anyway, Sheriff Cooper also had a question for Z; Odo left her a little stumped, while Jack wanted to know more specifics about aliens and Alex pointed out about how polygraphs don't cut it as evidence.
As everyone mingled at that one, Dinah learned a little about the future where Jen is from and Odo was very thoughtful about Batman's cape.
Well, you know capes. They're deep, man.
Anyway, Jack O'Neill presented on secret government organizations; Ben had questions about dealing with corruption and Alex wanted to know who was watching Jack's organization. Kind of a never ending cycle there, isn't it? While mingling, Brennen and Odo made note of each other, and Jack was hanging around afterward.
Not getting back-stabbed by your boss was brought to you by Michael, and let me just state for the record that I would never stab one of my employees in the back. Not even Jamie. Sheriff Cooper wondered why Michael didn't move completely on from police work and he offered the advice of freelance work to another questioner. In the audience, Brennan thought she recognized Angela, but Angela didn't know who she was and Detective Constable Day got a little pick-me-up compliment from the sheriff. Not so pick-me-up is Jack telling Michael that his life sucks, but, hey, at least Michael agrees? Afterwards, Fiona told Michael that he didn't do half bad.
The afternoon brought Rally Vincent and Minnie-May Hopkins giving a panel on teamwork, which is always important! Jack questioned their age and Alex was more concerned with liability suits. In the audience, Fiona chatted up another panel-goer while Jack welcomed Odo to earth. Rally and Minnie-May stuck around afterwards, too.
...I like this Alex lady.
Sergeant Angua talked about Diversity and assured Detective Kowalski that making fun of your partner was good for morale.
...I like this Angua lady, too, I think. She also gave Sheriff Cooper some helpful hints on diversifying his workforce. I hired a unicorn once, Sheriff. You should take note. And Jack wondered which planet Angua was from. In the audience, Detective Kowalski made fun of Detective Constable Day. Ooh, already putting the lesson to use! I like your style! Alex also mistook Miss Boxer for an old friend. And, afterwards, Odo and Sergeant Angua talked about being unique.
Just like eeeeverybody else.
Then Mister Sam and Mister Max talked about senseless violence as a police officer's best friend. Second only to a nice fat lawsuit, I'm sure. Alex knows what I'm talking about; she demanded badge numbers. Go get 'em, Alex lady! In the audience, Beetle and Booster swapped very different thoughts about the convention, Detective Kowalski told Constable Fraser about his new giiiiiirlfriend, and Mister Sam and Sergeant Angua were sniffing each other out.
...Literally?
Yeah, I think coppers taking sniffing each other out to a literal level is where I call it a night.
That, and the fact that the notes are all done.
Good night, Fandom, and have a prosperous tomorrow!
Onto the news!
