Fandom Radio :: Friday, August 1st.
Good Evening, Fellow Fandomites! It's Turtle Wexler here on WTFH radio, bringing you all the news that's fit to...broadcast on this first day in August! It's a quick news night, so let's just get right to it, shall we?
SCHOOL
Vice Principal Jones had gross disgusting coffee in her office today, and Andrew came in for a 'taaaaalk,' and to get his confinement lifted. And Mister French Name held office hours, too, and I'm being told that it had nothing to do with internet dating. And the moose bit the water cooler in the office. BIT IT. WHO DOES THAT? Besides evil mooses?
Okay, and maybe Jeff's dog.
Speaking of Jeff's dog, Karal boggled at Australian animals in the library today, and Liir came by with food, as usual.
Roving the Galaxy took the day to pick traveling clothes. Always have a good pair of shoes, I say, as you'll never know who..or what... you'll have to kick. Hoshi and Cimorene both had to apologize for missing classes. Lots of missing classes last week, I've noticed.
In Summer Fitness, they learned how to surf, which does not seem as bad as previous lessons in that class. Not everyone was so enthusiastic, though, even if plenty listened on how; it definitely seems the kind of thing that could be dangerous if you didn't know what you were doing. Rikku came by to explain that Reno couldn't participate due to birdification. Birdification is totally an official term.
Living on your Own did cooking today, so that they didn't starve themselves to death one day. Meg gave a special presentation on making brownies, before doing her TA thing and having Bad Alice trade her some chili for some brownies. Making trades! Very nice, Alice! Good Alice approves! Tyler jokingly gave Katchoo a hard time about being a painting for a week, but that gave him a bit of forewarning when Francine came along with the same excuse. Nice, guys. Working together on your alibis. I am impressed, yet again. Tyler's got him a smart class this time around.
And Surving Mad Scientists went around and collected body parts. Eeeeewww. Seriously? That's gross! Ugh, anyway, Gavin TA'd. Excuse me a moment while I hurl.
DORMS
Toby woke up expunging the realistic quality of shark dreams and Lee crashed for a bit on his bed, and Amber chilled out with a scary movie. Lee was the only one of those who got visitors, although, not really, because Helen was actually looking for Warren, who is not under the bed, despite Lee's misleading information. Savannah has leather and a Johnny and you can bet that that's as far as I'm going into that one. And then Gladys got eaten by a land shark Wah wah waaaah.
Ned gets some use out of the firepits on the deck for s'mores; Andrew compliments Ned's length...I'm...not sure I want to know what I meant by that. Ella and Ned talk about the nice night and meet each other, awww. Meeting is good! Especially since Ned and Ella are both very awesome people.
TOWN
Down at the beach this morning, Warren turned into a newt. I hope he gets better. Over at the hotel, Miss Garrett tidied up a bit before the Captain came for a visit. Well, a bit more than just a visit, but, yeah. All I'm saying.
Chad was spacing out over at Groovy Tunes and Eve seemed thoughtful over at the York Gallery. Mister Stinson was, finger quotes, 'working' on the computer at Atlas Gym, and Helen is Not Happy at him and snide comments on the radio. Snide comments? Who does that? Radio is serious business! Liir was reading, as usual, over at Book Haven and Rikku, as usual, was...okay, Rikku had a bird over at Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, which I supposed actually isn't so usual. Ino was all about petting the bird, which was Reno, and Rikku told her all about the special kind of bird (a chocobo) that it was. Meanwhile, of course, Worf came in to use the meditation room. Jen was reading at Pizza Planet, and Kaylee was reading at Stark Industries, too, which is okay, because she's usually working hard. And Jenny, finger quotes, "worked" at That Overpriced Clothing Store.
Ella has a bit of trouble keeping her parrot in one place over at Luke's Diner, River is drawing and muttering at the Arms Hotel, and then there's more stuff about Savannah and her leather over at Nast Sporting Goods, which makes me want to suggest that there's a 'y' missing here. There was a performance of Titus And...something or other at the Boards tonight; I hope they all broke a leg.
*pause*
That's how the phrase goes, right? Don't look at me like that, squirrels. Hannibal was there to get tickets and watch the show. Ino and Hinata were also there, and Lana, too! Backstage, Mister Tennant made sure that Jack had everything straightened out and got Cal to manage the lights that they didn't have. He wondered if Naomi was ready and was glad to see Gladys there and they talked about why someone would want to see a play about horrible things, and then he left Michael to his meditations. Then there was acting and then Mister Tennant gave his actors notes. After the show, Amber and G'Kar talked about potentially doing another one of these plays before Amber decided that G'Kar needs a girlfriend...okay, sure, so long as she doesn't take G'Kar's attention off the store! Then Cal complimented Amber on her performance before they walked back to the dorms together. Awww!
Oh! And it's three-minute date sign-up time at Caritas! You should really give it a try! I know it helped me once upon a time once I decided I wanted to find someone to date, even if, really, it only helped me narrow it down to the fact that I wanted to date Jeff more than anyone else.
Hi, Jeff! Love you!
Anyway, and then Ronan was at the clinic today with a bunch of chaotic nurses, and I'm trying to ignore the fact that I segued from Jeff to nurses.
Oh, and then sharks left. It happens. It's usually a good thing; they're bad for the economy.
And that's all the notes! See? Told you it was a quick one. Good night and have a prosperous tomorrow!

Yes. She knew her radio couldn't hear her.
