Fandom Radio, Tuesday, February 26th
... You're joking. How do you even get reception out here? I'm in the middle of the bloody mountains. We don't even have electricity.
*BrrrRWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!*
You brought a power generator. I don't know if I ought to be impressed, or horrified. Let's get this broadcast over with, then, before every enemy spy in a ten-mile radius hears this thing and comes running. Starting, I suppose, with the notes from what happened on the Island yesterday. Which is to say, Alice was cleaning old rifles at the Wellspring Arms, and everyone else had the good sense to go away for the break.
Yesterday morning last year in June in Turkey, people were heading to Ekincik after putting in their preparations to go. Cade was teased about his new tattoo by Kate before introductions were made. Josh was looking for coffee before breakfast on the Cetus, which does sound good right about now. Squirrels, get me coffee. Yes, in the middle of nowhere. Worthington brought some. Kaidan was eating all he could on the Capricorn before the boats headed out to sea.
On the way, Emily tried to steal Cade's cushion as he sunbathed. Kate Bishop noticed that Korra's polar bear dog enjoys the sunshine. Victor talked to Olive about the level he beat in his video game. Topher wanted chicken fingers, and Atton lounged with a drink in his ship's saloon before they arrived in Ekincik.
On the river boats to Dalyan and Kaunos, Gert disappointed Liara by telling her they probably couldn't actually visit the ruins because they were children, and Emily pushed her luck with Gert, wondering if her dinosaur was going to eat people. Going by the distinct lack of dinosaur-related deaths in the dorms these past two months, I think it's safe to assume that Gert's dinosaur doesn't eat people unless Gert tells her to. Don't tempt her, Emily.
People such as Anakin and Jessica enjoyed mudbaths. Separately. On the beach, Jim and Cade compared nights after Jim caught the blame for Cade's new tattoo. Cade wondered if Sia missed him, catching her while she was just walking through. And Maddie and Bay decided to see the sights in the small town nearby.
In the evening, people seemed less interested in the gulets and more interested in the beach party. Of course they were, there was food. Emily decided Stiles was eating too much, which led him to ask if she thought he was fat. Kitty and Stiles contemplated food smuggling and discussed drag shows. Jessica and Jim discussed regrets, mudbaths, and Cade's new tattoo. It must be quite the terrible tattoo.
At the bonfire, Maddie offered to set Jessica up with some bloke she met in town, with Loki's e-mail to thank for that brilliant plan. And, in the requisite shadowy corners, Kaidan and Emily were being antisocial. Possibly hiding from dinosaurs. Who can say?
Now can we shut off that blasted racket already, squirrels? You've got the wolves howling out there, and I won't stop our giant feline companion from eating you if he thinks you look bite-sized.
*Silence*
