Fandom Radio, December 13

Hi, everyone! Lacey Burrows here, and I made it all the way to the station on my own and didn't get lost this week. How about that, huh?

*chittering*

Oh, stop it. That does not sound that pathetic.

. . . does it?

Classes

Personally, I choose to take the squirrels' silence as a no, and go on to see what you kids are doing for your finals this week. Food Appreciation got to decorate cookies or talk, like Momoko checking up on Bobby. John joined in the decorating fun with a cookie that had Peter asking him about symbols. This one happened to be intergalactic. Macro-Tactics didn't get off so easy, since Kerrigan gave everyone instructions on their test, and didn't spare her TAs, either.

Personal Weaponry was part class, part final, with a lecture on weapons that didn't fit into any of the groups they covered, and then a chance to test them out. Get it? Get it? Test? Oh, that's a good one, ha, test --

*THUNK*

Everyone's a rum-soaked critic. Max was around, and got an apology from Zack about missing class last week due to getting into a bad situation at home. Around the World in Fifteen Weeks got to lounge on the beach, play in the water, or go exploring, but just in case you thought that was too easy for a final, they got a lecture to go with it. Bond was present, if disappointing one of the squirrels sadly by wearing a shirt. Poor squirrel. No conclusive report on the TA's wardrobe choices.

Gabrielle had the library tidied up and smelling like coffee, and Henry was in a good mood in his office. The smell of coffee will do that to you.

Jaina was making calls and getting texts in her office, and in the school office the only one there was Ida, after she fell out of the broom closet. Oh, I know that feeling.

Clubs

Kappa Kappa Gremlin figured out a way to take the sting out of studying by turning it into a pizza party. Constable Fraser was in favor of the studying aspect, looks like.

Dorms

Student Council encourages studying, too! Which is why they had the traditional end of semester coffee bar up and running, manned by Alexander, who had Rilla by to pick up caffeine and pastry while she studied and compared her family with his. Elphaba stopped in, too, and told Alexander about ending up a gecko over the weekend.

. . . does Geico sell rickshaw insurance on the island? Just a random thought.

Jack McCallister was in the third floor common room, watching a cartoon about Frosty the Snowman and being sniffly. Quinn came in for a snack and found the movie and the knowledge that her parents and Jack's should never meet. Bruce didn't realize she was so into holiday special moves, because he isn't, and he agreed with Jack that Christmas shouldn't last two months. Aw, come on. Not even the Yule Log channel? I love that Yule Log channel. I could . . . actually go for watching it right now, come to think of it. Cara was of the opinion that the third floor common room TV might end up hating Bruce the way the fifth floor TV does. Elphaba still doesn't quite get the hang of Christmas, but told Jack about a winter holiday she has back home, and Cara . . . mostly wanted Jack to explain why the snow was alive and not eating people.

Karla was fretting about something, but with Warren suddenly not being a bird any more, she might have gotten distracted from that. And cookies are a theme for the day, since Ariel was feeding some to her triops.

Town

Ino was a little late to her clinic shift, but since she had puppy-Zack with her, that was okay, right? Puppies.

Yes, Angua, that was cookies you smelled at Luke's Diner today, but it was lunch Ender got at Fixer-Uppers when Ben came by for his usual visit. Turtle and Canary got a magic sweeping job from Zatanna, and Jane was at Strokes of Genius with coffee and a shooting game. Quinn was studying on her shift at the Arms, Claudia was doing the same thing at Book Haven, and poor Angua just had a lot of paperwork to deal with at the trooper station. Karla might not have been the most enthusiastic employee at Dite's Decadent Delights today, but Tara stopped by with muffins, Leda came in to say hello, Rinoa brought cookies and got a crash course in what kind of store it was, and Momoko dropped in to check up on Karla and . . . blush a lot.

Pixie Dust was open! And staffed by a wolf, but -- open! Fourth Dimension was open, too, and Medusalith seemed like she was in a great mood. Dani was in a confused mood at the Gig, where the voicemail was full of messages from a sports reporting wanting to talk draft picks.

And just to end everything on a whimsical note, Rikku was in her apartment talking to a . . . is that a word? Chocobo? That's a cute word, though. Hee. Chocobochocobochocobo.

Oh, no, wait, one more in case you missed it: there's an announcement posted at the Boards about rehearsals and performance dates.

And now that my weekly date with you all over the air is done with? This is Lacey Burrows, signing off. Good night, Fandom!
