Fandom Radio, Friday, December 5th

Hi there. You know, one of the best things about living in Fandom is that you apparently don't need to buy any ornaments for your Christmas tree. They might just appear in your sock drawer. I didn't know that before today.

Another good thing about Fandom? Having the chance to tell all of you what you did today. So let's get on with that, shall we?

School

In my class, we talked about some guys who tried to steal Abe Lincoln's corpse. Classy stuff. Engineering Math turned everyone into non-literal code monkeys, so the students got to write secret messages.

People in Win Friends learned about the Crazy/Hot scale. Then they got to apply it to their classmates and themselves. And people in Studio Art got to work with watercolors.

Jono was doing his best to not find ornaments in the library, which is hardly in the spirit of the season. But he did have the spirit of togetherness when Ben stopped by to talk about weirdness and adventure.

In the offices, Tyler was assaulted by ornaments while Sirius wrote a letter.

In club news, StuCo talked about plans for the rest of the semester, and then Triela and Ender talked about sandwiches. And the newspaper staff met and got their assignments for next week.

Dorms

Mirax spent some time in the fourth floor common room collecting ornaments. Good job getting into the spirit! Griff stopped by and they talked about sentient clothing and I'm pretty sure that conversation doesn't happen at other schools.

Bobby was still in the safe room, where Jean and George met up outside the door to wait for him.

Town

Jenny opened Pixie Dust, Cable and Jan opened Pointy Sticks 'R Us, Mary was on Facebook at the Arms, and Harper's sense of fashion was on display at Things Reborn.

Sophie worked on a new display at Fourth Dimension, Arya dealt with ornaments at Coyote Medicine, Mina was being a Scrooge at the clinic, and Chuck was brooding at Caritas.

Hurley instituted a free ornament deal at Covent Garden Flowers, where Penelope stopped by to bring him lunch. Dimitri psyched himself up for visitors this weekend over at Atlas Gym when he got a visit from Rose. And this evening, Kennedy met Buffy in the graveyard, where Mel and Sokka showed up later on.

Emma had been reading at the Perk, but then she got swarmed with people. Ender talked to her about a variety of topics, including tonight's play. Tara talked to her about the robot babies from Ethics, she encouraged Jaime to wake himself up a bit, and Mat talked to her about drinks and other people's physical attributes.

But the big news of the day was opening night at The Boards. Geoffrey was selling tickets at the box office where Miss Parker noted that he looked like the Constable and Oz and Tim both got tickets.

Meanwhile the cast and crew got ready backstage. Dinah and Joan checked in on Blysse. Dinah and Priestly wished each other broken legs, which is only appropriate in showbiz. And Dinah gave Sam a flower. How sweet.

The audience watched the performance. Afterwards, Geoffrey gave his actors some notes and people did some mingling. G'Kar and Sophie congratulated each other, Karla had a fan club, and Ben gave Ender the support that he was so clearly craving.

And that's it for tonight. Get some sleep and I'll talk to you again next week.
