Fandom Radio :: April 26th.
Good evening, fellow Fandomites! It's Sunday, April 26th, and you're listening, of course, to Turtle Wexler on WTFH radio, bringing you all the news that's fit to--
...you know, for as long as I've been doing this, you'd think I could come up with a good rhyme for that. But, anyway, here's the scoop on what happened this fine Sunday.
SCHOOL
Lee was in for probably his last shift at the library. Lee, I will miss reporting on your awesomely quiet days where only a few people ever really seem to come in. Like Dinah, who bugged him about what he's doing after graduation.
DORMS
Jaina was in the gym, working with a punching bag, and even Face-Spitter free!
And Chuck failed to find anything interesting on TV in the third floor common room. Adora came in, and talked about how she's not a TV gal, and he's not a summer guy.
Behind the dorms, Arthur, Leto, and Merlin all meet to discuss 'troops,' and I really hope the squirrels really mean 'troops' here.
TOWN
Mister Deadpool gave a proper mourning for the passing of Bea Arthur. For old time's sake, I'll say it one last time, even though it isn't true anymore:
I don't even know who that is!
*moment of silence*
Miss York drank a lot of tea at the York Gallery and Sheriff Cooper joined her for coffee and they were all cute old couply.
Mister Winchester was doing a lot of whistling at the Magic Box.
In a stunning and impressive example of capitalistic maneuvering, Mister Reilly had a bunch of monkey stuff over at Things Reborn. Detective Constable Too Active buys a hat off him and then they discuss the community plague of smelly pirates. Considering that pirates are my boss here, I feel obligated to say that this is a terrible discrimination, how dare you?
Although, yeah, they are kind of smelly. Anyway, Claire stopped in to discuss monkey metaphor's with Mister Reilly and let him know about her graduating and going away.
At the Gig, Blysse watched Blind Seer chase around some of the horses, and Tahiri came by with a blueberry muffin. Mmmm. Now I'm hungry. Anyway, they talked about suuuummer.
And Mister Biff was reading magazines at the Wellspring Arms and Meditation Center, before the usual interrupt from Detective Constable Social-Pants and they talked about hoooorsies.
The squirrels assure me that Reno was most certainly not getting misty-eyed over his last shift at the Freelance Police, and Miss Walker came by to cancel his security watch on his store. Mister Sam and Mister Max just offered to embezzle money for a graduation gift.
...these people are cops? Well, okay, freelance ones. Point taken.
Warren just kept his head down at Cafe Fina.
Over at the Movie Sign Theater, Francine and Merlin had a date, and I bet Merlin was really disappointed that the movie wasn't pornographic.
And, in other entertainment news, the Boards had its opening night of its play tonight. Mister Mars and Miss Burrows needed tickets, and Liir and Claire enjoyed the show. Backstage, Jack tried not to panic and Tony got pounce-hugged by Dinah for the bouquet he gave her. And then Face-Spitter was a jerk and does nothing for Dinah's nerves for telling her about some girl who had an aneurysm on stage in his first play. Hinata tried to keep cool and Amber was pretty hyped up. Leto arrived with no time to spare but managed to give Dinah a gift. Robin-the-frog was bouncy and G'Kar did some pre-performance journal writing.
And then there was the show! Jack might have flubbed a line or two, and Robin-the-frog was a little stumbly. Dinah didn't let her nervousness show, while Amber and the Face-Spitter seemed to have their parts down.
After the show, Mister Tennant gave Dinah some encouragement, wondering if she plans on doing this again. Dinah and Amber giggled about socks, and Liir gave Dinah a carnation and praise. Amber, of course, got flowers from Liir, too! Dinah let G'Kar know that he rocked...of course he did...and so did Amber, and I bet she wasn't just sucking up to her boss, either.
Mister Bindo was not happy to find the band on repeat at Caritas tonight, but Mrs. Harker is there to help with pleasant conversation.
And Ronon took some notes at the clinic, which is better than having sick people in the clinic, any day.
And then there was Fight Club! As usual, it was a social event, with Jack getting ready and Mister Minsc recovering well from a hangover. Jen was humming, and so was Detective Constable Busy-Butt. I stretched out before hitting the beginners' mat and Tahiri kept an eye out for talking cookies while Ben told her about his grandfather's epic birthday party. Ino freaked out a little at Ichigo when he mentioned going home for a bit, but then they got to the messing around. Not dirtily! Ben was looking for a fight and Mister Dex was interrogated by Jaina about how he knows her boyfriend. Katina was hoping to work out some frustration, because doing that through fighting is very healthy, Andros warmed up and Jaina and Tahiri are in agreement that Tyler is a line-stealer. Adam was there and getting ready, and so was Blysse and Blind Seer. And, of course, Tyler and Miss Atreides were around if anyone needed them when they weren't beating the crap out of each other.
As far as fighting went, we had Jack vs. Ben, Tyler vs. Miss Atreides, Mister Minsc vs. Miss Dröttningu, and Jen vs. Adam while Tahiri and Detective Constable Take a Break Already worked off some energy.
And there you have it! There's the news! Enjoy your week of rest before graduation. I am going to be stocking up on the booze for next weekend's radio. Good night and have a prosperous tomorrow.
