Hello, Fandom! Weird weather we're having, huh? You know, I called my dad to wish him a Happy Father's Day and I told him about the whole volcano thing and he said I was just trying to make excuses to come home. Okay, one, I don't want to go home because this place is awesome. And two, I'm not lying. You all can vouch for me. Of course if anyone tried to vouch for something like that in front of the General they will probably end up having a couple of sessions with the US Army's finest psychologists. You'll even get a nice squishy room to stay in.
...And I wonder why I can't keep a boyfriend.
Anyways! News!
School, which may soon be burnt to a crisp
There was nothing! And I'd like to think that even if there were school-related activities today that they'd be canceled due to volcanic activity. That's a completely valid excuse for canceling class. Can't learn too well when you're engulfed in lava, can you?
Dorms, which might be covered in lava soon
Cal was on the roof to enjoy a cigarette and a view of the volcano. Oh. I could totally do that right now. You squirrels mind if I smoke? Excellent. Mac and Cal discuss the volcano while Sokka talks to Mac about the deadifulness of volcanic eruptions. Alrighty. Hinata looks on the bright side by telling Mac that if the volcano erupts that they probably won't have to wear bathing suits in class. Dude! I would love to wear a bathing suit in class. Summer and Mac catch up. In front of a volcano. You people. Cal and Sokka get all poetic about the volcano and nature and blah, blah, blah, that's boring. Romeo asks Sokka about Mel while Dojima talks to Sokka about the volcano. Romeo and Cal meet and they talk about how this beats the pants off any other weather phenomenon they've seen. Me too, guys. Me too. Cal and Isabel meet and Romeo tells her that he's never seen anything like this before. I should hope not, dude. Peter and Isabel catch up before talking about her eventual departure. Bummer. Cal and Peter talk about the awesomeness of the storm and oh my god people get the f inside! Peter asks Mac how the lemming is handling the storm. I bet it's scared. Cal agrees with Summer when she says "wow" and Isabel and Summer talk about how this is way better than TV. Cal can't believe how many people are up on the roof and he tells Hinata about it. Francine hopes the storm won't come over here and Cal assures her that it's too far off. Suuuuuuuure. Dojima gets some reassurance from her boyfriend and Cal how people would collect on a bet involving us all burning to a crisp. Answer: They wouldn't.
In dorm news that wasn't on the roof today, Dick, who owes me a plaque on my birthday next Sunday, called his daddy-figure to wish him a Happy Father's Day and to tell him about the impending volcano. Whew, glad to see I wasn't the only person who did that. Liir was working on his broom and I hope to god that's not dirty. Dawn was in her room writing letters and taking pictures of the volcano. Meg came by and she and Dawn look in Sam's closet for drag-wear. Uh...my big brother is a DRAG QUEEN?! Why was I not aware of this? He must be like seven feet tall when he's wearing heels! Let's go clubbing together!
I'm serious.
Town, where the streets will soon be filled with lava
What started out as smoke rising from the island this morning turned into a dark, pee-your-pants scary hell in the evening. Lovely. Just lovely. Ino and Cassandra are at the Wellspring Arms verrrrrrry early this morning doing stuff. Mohinder is looking at the view from the Rocky Bits and he is joined by G'Kar and Juli. Logan's messing around at the Atlas Gym, hopefully not in the dirty sense because Tyler shows up to beat up some stuff. It's Do It Yourself day at the church and Vala is studying volcanoes at Luke's. Roy gets a visit from Aly at the Trooper Station and they talk volcano. Kerrigan assures River that we'll all die from ash suffocation before the lava even gets to us...okay, lady, we need to meet and I need to give you my dad's number. You two sound perfect for each other. Anyway, the BANDages and the zombies are glaring at each other as Anders opens Caritas and a happy Bridge comes by. Adah's celebrating her birthday with some cupcakes at the clinic and Lee comes in and threatens to sing at her. My birthday is next Sunday, people! Buy me stuff!
Okay guys and gals, that's it for me. I'm gonna go back to the dorms and hopefully I won't have to surf across a lake of lava to do so. Night!
