Fandom radio, Monday October 11th
I...wait, you came, too?
*chittering*
Well, yes, I suppose, why not? What would you have done if I hadn't come out for a smoke? I don't think this hotel is accustomed to sentient squirrels.
*chittering*
Hm. Fair enough. All right. Oh, careful with that. Here, let me...there we are. Right, so - radio.
Not much was going on yesterday apart from the trip, so to anybody back on the island to hear this, I suppose...here's what the rest of us were doing.
We met at Portalocity for the trip, which was via portal, and less traumatic than my travel here, even allowing for the absence of...well, never mind. It wasn't at all unpleasant for more than a brief second, anyway. Which Miguel reassured Dwight about prior to our going. Dwight also spoke with me about being new and who we're here with, and before you start, we're both only here with friends, so you needn't bother carting any flags with you. Also attending were Rosa and Miguel, who spoke about him helping her with a job while they're up here.
Once we arrived in Boston, there was a lot of settling in at the hotel. Troy, Stark, I, Alara, and Jo all arrived to our rooms to get settled.
Sidon and Nick discussed the spaciousness or lack thereof of the rooms, which was a recurring theme, with Liam and Prompto in their room and Dwight and Liam in the gym late at night also discussing it. The rooms are, for those of us not with us, larger than any remotely affordable London flat. And probably more expensive.
Belle and Five, however, were not pleased to be in a room together, because nothing ever goes smoothly...good lord, here come the flags again. Leave off, you little reprobates...and Anakin discussed roommate etiquette with Jaskier, although he seemed to be more upset about the fact that his luggage was missing. How does that even happen? Tahani and Alexis seemed to be not entirely upset at sharing, and discussed the adequacy of the rooms and hiring a bartender and DJ for a party, and...I think perhaps this is one of those things that as a chaperone we might be supposed to care about? Dwight and Amaya discussed how to spend their first night in town, which seemed to mostly consist of eating, which is...quite understandable, really, and Goose and Shunsui introduced themselves. I haven't met Shunsui yet, and I can only say that I would vouch for Goose as a roommate if he were feline, but hopefully they'll get on.
Later on, Jo went for afternoon tea, which I wouldn't have thought was a thing here, and I went to the bar, where I had some good but wildly overpriced popcorn and Dwight found me, but not a cheap beer. Prompto went on a sunset cruise and took photos, which I might have to try later if there's time; it sounds lovely, and Clare went to an Irish tavern, which contrary to expectations actually seemed to have a number of Irish people in it, so I'm glad you got that sense of home, Clare. And Shunsui went to a bar called Drink, which I suppose has truth in advertising going for it?
We're off to do more Boston...things...today, whatever that entails, so I should probably get ready. If you're back on the island, enjoy the hopefully not-at-all-ominous quiet, and if you're here...can you even hear this?
*chittering*
A podcast, really? Congratulations! Well, then, if you're here and hearing this, please try to have fun and do nothing illegal or overly damaging, and yes, I'm looking at you, Tahani and Alexis, although not, I should stress, literally. Although I can't speak for the squirrels.
You'll be watching us here, too?
*chittering*
Of course I can help, but...no, Leroy. Behave.
*sigh*
