Fandom Radio, Monday, June 18th
Good morning, Fandom. Looks like we've all made it to finals week for the first half of the summer, so congratulations on being so close to a week off that we can all pretty much taste it. Just don't screw it up this week, right? I don't know what that would entail. Blowing up that horrifying fish or something.
Anyway, I have notes here, so I'm going to get them out of the way quickly so that I can go run diagnostics on my ship before taking Kaidan for a spin around this corner of the system. Mars is even conveniently close to Earth today, so this was a well-timed field trip.
*Chittering!*
No, we aren't dating. What? Give me those notes.
We've actually got activity in the dorms this week, huh. Astrid was up on the roof, getting some quiet thinking time in, when Sabine came up and they discussed the view and adjusting to life on the island. It can take a while, yeah. Gratuity was up there, too, but their talk leaned less into adjusting and more into life with their respective mothers. Those were relatively non-traumatic dorms notes. Keep up the good work.
Town saw Rey double-checking her portal reservations at Stark Industries. I maintain that I'll shake a gnome for you if that booking falls through, Rey. Amaya learned about Father's Day courtesy of Apu at Turtle & Canary, where the Squishy flavors were... unfortunate. They were unfortunate. Jonothon was researching music for Pride at the Groovy Tunes. At Demon Marcus, Sparkle's bad mood lifted when Kaidan came in looking for a good shirt to wear to Pride. The squirrels are disappointed that Sparkle told him where the dressing rooms are after he changed his shirt right in the middle of the room. Oh, buddy. The kitchen staff was being all respectful again at Luke's, where things were relatively quiet with the exception of Summer texting me links to songs she wants me to sing for her birthday tomorrow. So, there's your warning. Now you can pack earplugs if you're planning on attending that. You're welcome.
Over at the Perk, Dr. Lecter was doing some people-watching with a rose tea latte. There are three words in a row there that I never pictured together. I'll have to go try it sometime. Hera was there too, and the staff explained the holiday to her. Just remember if you don't like them that they're not our holidays if we don't want them to be, Hera. Zack followed the rest of the pack there, trying to use coffee for liquid courage or something, and did some catching up with Dr. Lecter about his impending nuptials. And, in people actually spending time with their fathers news, Kathy invaded Eliot's home to make him a Father's Day meal, and the squirrels insist that 'Seoul Food' is the best dad joke they've heard this year.
I'll have to take their words for it. I don't get it.
*Disappointed chittering*
Well, how would I know that? Anyway, that's all the notes, so I'm off to make sure my baby's still gonna fly. Have a good week, Fandom.
