Fandom Radio, Tuesday, January 29th

Good morning, Fandom Island. It's me, Jonothon Starsmore, once more abducted by rum-swilling squirrels before noon on a Tuesday. I have the feeling that if I were to say that anywhere but here - or, I suppose, Wisconsin in the presence of their token superhero team - I'd be carted away in a jacket with straps on it.

*Chittering*

No, I'm not referring to my old leather coats. Have you got notes for me or haven't you, this morning? Yes? Good. Let's get this over with so I can go back to staring at walls and daydreaming.

At the School yesterday, Philosophy watched one of those ever-popular movies about boys impersonating girls to sneak into a sorority. American Feminism talked about Title IX, an act that prohibits discrimination against women in education, and whether or not it, in turn, discriminates against men. Yes, how dare the government pass an act to protect a group of people that has been constantly seen as lesser for no good reason for ages. Don't get me started, squirrels, or I'll be here ranting about discrimination for the rest of the day. Next page of notes, please.

Flight class was flying hot air balloons yesterday, with people pairing off before going up in them. Cade and Victor weren't certain why people would bother with balloons in this day and age, Karina and Evan were awkward at one another, and Anakin and Topher weren't terribly thrilled by the low level of technology that they were expected to work with. But people flew in the balloons anyhow, and after class Anakin, still student Anakin, went to give Jaina a hug and solicit more class activities that he could use his droid for.

The library was covered in cotton balls yesterday during poor William's shift, and Apathy Club managed to meet for a second week in a row. I wonder if they'd find it strange if a teacher that wasn't the class advisor were to drop in one of these weeks. I was a member back when it was new, after all.

Nothing at all went on in the Dorms, because... Monday.

In Town around Dawn, one might have noticed that Ingvar was experiencing a bit of tremor activity. I'd say it's probably nothing more than a little gas, but Ingvar has been responsible for creepy dolls and drop bears in the past, so I'm wary. The day went on as usual afterwards, however, with Cade putting his feet up at Stark Industries, Hanna being paranoid of the mannequins at Demon Marcus, and Priestly's chef getting the best of him at Cafe Luke's after he criticized the man's creativity. Something about his face and a mashed potato cream pie? Navaan stopped by and announced that she was the health inspector, doing physicals for everyone. For the sake of keeping this broadcast appropriate for all listeners, we'll just say he did as the doctor ordered and move along.

At Wellspring Arms, Alice was slumped over, tired. At the Devil's Nest, Jack Priest was doing some internet research, which likely had something to do with the conversation he had with Stiles when he came in about Derek getting shot and what to do about it. Stiles apparently knows his way around bullet wounds, because he told him how to fix it before the conversation segued into far more pressing matters, like werewolf puke and Friendship class.

This island.

And that's all for my notes this morning, so I'm going to get back to doing all of that very important nothing in particular that I was up to.
