Fandom Radio- Wednesday, December 7
*chittering*
We really do this in the morning now? I'm convinced you did this just to throw me off. This is Jaina, in for your usual apparently really excitable radio host. I don't know, I woke up to a note under my door in squirrel-scratch telling me to come down here, so I guess this is what I'm doing today. It's something, I guess.
One of my notes is about the big, impossible-to-miss black clouds over the town. Has anyone missed this? Well, if you have, now you know.
SCHOOL
Unsurprisingly, Rinoa opened the library so people could do research. Squall checked up on her and Belle offered her coffee. Researching today were Kitty, Seifer, Natalie, Jack Carter, Ender, Squall, Marshall, Lindsey, Scully and Jen, and thank you guys. Seriously. And no pressure or anything, but maybe research a little faster. Rinoa offered Kitty in help in where to start, and then Kitty asked Ender if anything's been ruled out so far, so I guess she's trying to get on the right page straight off. Rinoa told Seifer he's not allowed to disappear, and she covered Scully with a blanket when she fell asleep on a book.
Classes were in, but unsurprisingly no one was doing much. My grandfather advised Ethics class not to do anything stupid, and he means it, do not do anything stupid, and the students could hang out in class and talk about what's going on. After class I talked with my grandfather and Juliet, who thinks we should fix it with tape and batteries. Let's come up with something a little bit different than that, town.
Bringing Literature to Life- Through... Violence- what are you teaching these kids? They spent the day at a water park in the Danger Shop, which Max planned to see Cindy in a bathing suit. There are much classier times to hit on your coworkers. This is not it. Meanwhile in How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse- been there, done that- Columbus dismissed the students to go the library or be with their friends.
DORMS
Chloe Saunders was sad in the fourth floor common room in the morning. I hear that's going around. Hopefully Alice and K-Mart helped cheer her up some. Jack Carter saw the clouds roll in and headed straight for the library- good call- and later that night he spent time in the shooting range. Also not a bad call. I don't know how much shooting anyone's going to be doing, but it can't hurt to get some practice in and sometimes it's good to just do something.
TOWN
Angela made it back to town and was annoyed at the Perk because even when the world's ending they won't put alcohol in her coffee. I can almost see being upset about that, actually. Welcome back, by the way. Savannah was glad to see her and invited her to stay at the lighthouse. I spent my afternoon hitting things, and Mary was at the Arms trying to figure out how to keep the hotel running when you can't get supplies from the mainland. As someone staying there, I think I speak for everyone when I say we'll understand if corners are cut. Millie was happy and not gossipping with the nurses at the clinic...
Okay, they might have all missed the impossible-to-miss clouds.
At the Devil's Nest, Jack Sparrow invited people to raise a glass to the missing DJ. That's just tacky, Jack. Natalie was at the bar with a soda, where Joan asked Eric if there's anything he needs done on island, since off-island is out of the question right now, and Eric and I talked about the creepy sky before going outside. For reasons.
At Caritas, Kitty took a break from researching to work, where Tim's apparently had "one of those nights" for weeks. Hanna was in for something strong and I'll give you a guess as to what the topic of conversation was, and Richie wanted something to make him forget how creepy it is outside. Richie and Hanna know each other from Ethics, and they decide drinking doesn't count as being stupid if the world is ending. I'll be surprised if that ended well. Elphaba stuck with cranberry juice but was trying to work her way up to getting drunk, and Hanna thought she was brave for not going straight to drunk. Wesley and Kitty talked about luring the Auditors into a trap using overdue library slips. I'm torn between hoping they're joking and hoping they're not.
William was at JGOB when Myria came in with some extremely foreign friends, and it all ended in William... disappearing.
Good thing that's my last note, because I'm going to go outside right now.
