Fandom Radio, Monday, March 10

Are you certain we can't wait another few minutes?

*chittering*

Really? A matter of life and death? I never knew radio was that important! I suppose Turtle's been right on that one as well. Er...

...are you sure we can't wait? It'd be a bit odd to do this without her--

OW.

Okay.

SCHOOL

So... the flirtary opens as it always does, and Dean's in with lunch, also the ordinary way of things, which is good, 'cos otherwise it'd be-- wrong. And weird. Really really weird. But instead, we get very ordinary things. Like Peter Petrelli flirting.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

... Can we please wait for Turtle?

Please?

Maths class was really nice as usual and we talked about saving which, really, Turtle should've been around for 'cos it's really her sort of subject. She needs to join Maths class next term if there's one, I imagine it'd be really interesting for her, or she'd know things a lot. And Mythology class talks about someone called Anansi the Spider God, which sounds like a bit of work, considering he's the King of Stories and all that. You know. You'd have to keep on talking, and then all of these things would start coming out, like... things! Which is all right if you want to be a Trickster, I suppose, but as a general rule it just seems sort of dangerous. What if they tell stories about you? There's no telling what could happen! I'm sure Billy would know a few things about that, but he asks miss Ghanima about the spring break instead.

Forget about the spring break! There's more important things!

Sora's covering Criminal Justice 'cos mister Deadpool's not there, and they talk about-- ...something... they shouldn't be talking to the mythology people, there's absolutely nothing mythologic about that and did they learn about tying people to chairs and threatening to cut off-- I mean, that's bad, that's weird, that's really really weird! Inventionowhatsits fixes things, which really is a far better way to spend your time and it's not weird at all. My roommate's girlfriend was there! And Choose Your Own Government has mid-- mid--

... midterms. And then there's an office that's open and more people opening their own offices like mister Cannon and mister Suresh.

Then Martial Arts Club opens up, where people work out their aggression which is healthy, you know, doing that in a club, rather than anywhere else, like on people. Or on Billy, like Sokka's doing in the club. You'll end up hungover like mister Biff!

That's all the school bits, isn't it? Can we wait now?

*chittering*

What if I develop a fault? I can't do radio without Turtle! It's not right!

*sound of a scuffle*

... That's mean! You're really really mean, squirrels!

DORMS

... Sky is working on this model called the Protector in the fourth floor common room, and then Ami comes by, and does that thing, you know, where you say hi, or introduce yourself, or try to introduce yourself, which rarely goes well to begin with, especially when you start talking about being abducted by aliens, and then before you know it you're stuck in this giant web of lies you can't get out of!

Don't you hate it when that happens? I call it conversation ensnarement. It's insidious.

Brooke goes looking to see if she's a cheerleader now, which she is, just like Brooke, Naomi and Victor and they've got a mascot, too! Except Victor's not really happy about it. I'm sure Turtle would appreciate you helping support Turtle & Canary through adding your cheerleadery... ... cheer to the general image of the store! I think there's not that much of a danger for accidental hatred there.

I miss Turtle. Can I at least phone her now?

*chitters*

I know I hate phones! 'Cos... I hate phones! But there's so many notes!

*thunk*

... Chris talks to Summer about why he should break up with Lana, just like Wyatt, and then Lana and Chris have a Serious Talk about their relationship. Oh my god. Just be certain to steer away from the Sentence of Death, Chris! Don't let her say things like where is this relationship going, 'cos it won't end well no matter what you say! It's best to hide somewhere, like in a closet, until she goes away and maybe she'll forget about it.

...Except she probably won't, 'cos women remember things. And then Michael goes to see my little sister and this smudge better not mean anything bad, Michael, 'cos I will come and talk with you! ... When it's... convenient. For you. Bridge and Anders have decided that this week should be normal. You can decide that, but it never works, does it? Have you seen Turtle? She's supposed to be here, it's not right like this, it's like the universe is failing, that can't be good. Adah has a rabbit, and Isabel has emo, but no word on whether either of them has a Turtle.

TOWN

Do I even need to read this? Lots of people opened things! They always do! It's normal! Breasts at the Arms, George Michael at the banana stand, Yeehtzak at Luke's, Alex at the Magic Shop, Chad at his music shop, Tom with the pizza, Lucas with the wonders, Naomi at Sparky's...

Really normal.

... Romeo's at the clothes shop and gets some treats from Yurika, which is really nice, Turtle tends to do that for me sometimes, she brings me sandwiches at the hotel. And at the Post Office, my little sister talks to Annette about weirdness and AJ, that artist bloke who needs all the help he can get. It wouldn't surprise me if those two were connected somehow, like in some sort of weird... AJ... weirdness... twist. Jamie opens Turtle & Canary like he really really shouldn't. It's Turtle's day, she should be there! Adah buys some supplies for her rabbit. She should've waited. Apparently Sokka smelled bacon.

Turtle would never leave bacon in the shop unattended. But at least G'Kaaaaahr is back!

Mister Cable opens the arms shop which I won't go near, and my little sister - hi, Ino! - talks to him about mister Deadpool being gone, and all the really weird stuff that's been going about lately. I keep telling you it's not normal! It can't go on like this! Then he works on telekinetic control with Michael, which sounds like even more work than all the storytelling, but slightly less dangerous.

At Caritas, Jolee and Tino are stacking cups! And at the clinic, there's... ...no nurses. Just Millie. Where have the nurses gone? Are they with Turtle? I miss the nurses, it's not normal without the nurses, you need them for the right level of uniform! But no, there's only Katara in the evening. I'm sorry, Katara, it's just you're not nurses. Have you considered a uniform?

There's a lot of people taking walks today! Like in the Preserve, there was Seely and Troy, and our radio colleague Robin at the edge of town. Must've been a slow day for the squirrels. Oh, and mister Deadpool and Turtle were in the park-- Turtle? Why are you in the park when we have radio? You're never in the park when we have radio. It's not normal.

... Can't you go back and get her?

*chittering*

I mean it! She's not supposed to be in the park!

Turtle, when you hear this... come back from the park?

...

We need to do radio.

[ And for your OOC enjoyment...
Paris, 1899, featuring the one, the only, the Deadpool,
New York, 1930, where Troy makes a friend.
London, 1936, where Seely arrives, baffles at wee!Peter, and possibly many other things.
Chicago, 1933, where poor Jeff's girlfriend arrives, far far away from him.
Aaaaand your basic Cairo, 1923, where Robin... well, baffles. She's in Egypt. Which tends to be a v. warm place. And that is all for today! ]
